[General Questions] What are the trading conditions for Islamic accounts?

Last updated on Jun 08, 2026

Islamic (Swap-Free) Accounts are designed for clients whose religious beliefs prohibit the payment or receipt of interest, including swap or rollover charges on overnight positions.

Most instruments available on an Islamic Account can be traded under swap-free conditions. However, the following terms apply:

  • Forward indices are available for trading on a swap-free basis.

  • Trading in cash indices is not permitted.

  • Positions in cryptocurrencies and stocks remain subject to applicable swap charges.

  • A grace period of five (5) calendar days applies, during which no holding or administration fees are charged on eligible positions.

  • After the grace period expires, administration fees may be applied to certain instruments and positions held open overnight.

Islamic Accounts must be used in good faith and in accordance with Shariah principles. ActivTrades reserves the right to review, reclassify, suspend, or withdraw Islamic Account status if trading activity is deemed inconsistent with the intended purpose of a Swap-Free Account.
